Exxxotica NY Coverage 2009

When we started our journey to the convention we weren’t really sure what the relevance of Edison New Jersey was to porn or a porn convention with lots of Stars and Industry folks in attendance… we had to wonder.. Is Ron Jeremy from New Jersey? Will Jon Bon Jovi be there singing songs about First Amendment Rights and standing up for the freedoms of America.. will Tri State Politicians arrive with their Mistresses? As Ariel Adore and myself drove up with the downloaded directions, I remember spending a good few minutes just praying that Carl be there from A.T.H.F personally, I would have given alot to actually meet the “in real life ” Carl and the entire time I was there, I was looking for him.

After we all got our VIP badges and Media packages from the Will Call at the front door of the event, we entered through the doors and were automatically blown away by, the overwhelming feeling that the space was misused. What the ? There were strippers in the front, the stage was in the back, and there was alot of stuff squished up in the middle of it all. Ariel Adore went to the front of the stage to check in with event staff as one of the Ms. Exxxotica contestants chosen for the pageant part of the convention. LazerBunny models Arden and TS Contract Starlet Aly Sinclair were meeting fans and making new friends in the crowd walking around with Ariel before the contest. I walked around a few times and eyed up the vendors present, took a few photos and figured out what was what and where. Joanna Angel and her crew of models were not hard to find, with their booth completely bubble wrapped with the “look and feel” of a collaged notebook binder you might have had when you were in high school. Girls, Girls, Girls and LA PINKreally stood out to me as I walked by, mostly because those are parodies of already famous things. The models at the Burning Angel booth seemed to have their look together, like they were trying to look good.. as they should. The AltPorn Princess on the other hand looked like she was just hit by a bus in the parking lot of the convention before being rolled in by one of the made up, nicely styled models from her popular site. The model that really stood out as the hottest ‘in person’ BA girl was Mysti Dawn. She is actually MUCH better in person than in any photo I’ve seen of her to date… and she had the most polished look of all of the models in tow with Joanna. The REAL TOUCH booth was the most technology based in the convention boasting the hottest new product in adult as the recent coupling of usb driven sex machines hooked up to worldwide cam girls touching buttons to stimulate your weeny. They had alot of televisions. Sasha Grey looked incredible at her booth talking to the people for a minute or two signing autographs and promoting her latest productions. She was flawless and the line of people in attendance that waited to get their photo and talk with her was the longest line in the venue at all times, triple in size of the other linesthroughout the venue. Penny Flame was present, with her big smile and her tiny frame close to where Sasha was set up, and around the corner I found one of my personal favorites, Moxxie Maddron. Moxxie was gorgeous in person, her all natural huge tits defy gravity and her curves are unstoppable. Photos of all of the stars in attendance can be found at our exxxotica gallery. Bree Olson stole the show with her golden sparkly dress and her gorgeous curves during the Pornstar Q&A, and although a few days after it was press released that Evan Stone and Terra Patrick are splitting up, they seemed very set in promoting their brand both onstage and off at their booth answering questions and at one point I took photos of Evan giving an interview to one of the media.

Boasting the largest adult industry convention is not a very hard thing to do it seems, putting one together has got to be a total pain in the ass. Exxxotica NY will be the greatest adult convention on the east coast once it irons out a few of the kinks and gets the pervs and the fans to appreciate what it is theats being done. Until then, it seems like Miami is the place to be for the convention. Unfortunately even though there are very few conventions of this nature on the east coast there just weren’t enough fans in attendance to really fill out the place. Most of the events during the convention ran over time causing people to start leaving and by the time Burning Angels Strip For Pain showcase came on stage most of the people that were hanging around got bored and left. Ultimately, we did too.. opting not to pay 30-50 dollars per ticket for after parties hostedd by the same people that were hosting the already 67 dollar convention for the average consumer, we decided to drive back to Philly and make porn (as usual) So, Ariel and Arden and Aly Sinclair all piled back in our cars and met back at APS HQ.
